University of Oregon Law School Honors Laura Salerno Owens

Portland litigation firm Markowitz Herbold PC is pleased to announce that shareholder Laura Salerno Owens has been recognized by The University of Oregon Law School as one of its Outstanding Young Alumni for 2016.

The award was created to recognize graduates who have made significant career, leadership and service contributions to their community and the legal profession within the first ten years following graduation.

Salerno Owens represents clients in complex litigation involving employment, class actions, noncompetition agreements, trade secrets, unfair competition, contract disputes and business torts, in state and federal courts. Her clients include businesses, executives, entrepreneurs, governments, and nonprofit organizations. 

Salerno Owens is a frequent speaker on employment law topics such as anti-discrimination and harassment, social media in the workplace, and the use of independent contractors. She has been recognized as a Rising Star by Oregon Super Lawyers for the past four years and was recognized as an Up & Coming Lawyer by the Daily Journal of Commerce in 2012.
