This former prosecutor, now at a big-name Portland firm, embraces clemency work

Truitt Watts was 17 years old in 2003 when he fatally stabbed a man in Florence, Oregon, and was sentenced to life in prison.

Now 36, Watts will walk away from the Oregon State Correctional Institution, one of dozens of prisoners convicted as juveniles whose sentences were reduced by Gov. Kate Brown.
