David draws on his past experience as a teacher and combines it with his legal expertise to communicate complex concepts clearly and effectively.
David represents individuals, businesses, and government entities in a wide range of matters. He has litigated complex class actions, breach of contract disputes, business tort claims, probate disputes, and complex statutory and constitutional claims. He also has significant experience advising private clients and government entities on legal and communications strategies.
David is well-versed in taking and defending depositions, preparing comprehensive legal documents, and collaborating with clients to develop and achieve long-term strategic objectives. Before joining the firm, David honed his legal research and analytical skills as a Judicial Law Clerk to the Honorable Mustafa T. Kasubhai in the U.S. District Court for the District of Oregon.
Before his clerkship, David served as a Litigation Consultant for the United States Attorney’s Office for the District of Oregon on a healthcare fraud case brought under the False Claims Act. During law school, David served as the Head Law Clerk for the same office. He earned his J.D., cum laude, from Lewis & Clark Law School, where he served as a Teaching Assistant for the Legal Writing Department and a member of the school’s Moot Court Honor Board.
Before pursuing a legal career, David was a high school social studies teacher, high school basketball and golf coach, and part of a Division I men’s basketball coaching staff.
David serves as the Chair of the Lezak Social Justice Fellowship, a board member of the American Constitution Society, and a coach for Franklin High School’s We the People team.
