Christine Poklemba is an accomplished Oregon attorney with more than a decade of experience in litigation, having worked in government and nonprofit sectors.

Known for her strong skills in legal writing, discovery management, research, and strategy, Christine has successfully guided cases through the complexities of environmental and commercial law.

Before joining Markowitz Herbold, Christine managed her solo practice, where she advised clients on high-stakes disputes and complex litigation. Prior to launching her solo practice, she served as an Assistant Attorney General with the Oregon Department of Justice, where she played a pivotal role in high-profile cases involving the State's health insurance exchange and national tobacco settlements.

Christine also served as a law clerk for the Earthrise Law Center, The Freshwater Trust, and the Environmental Defender’s Office in Australia.

Dedicated to environmental advocacy, Christine has volunteered her expertise with the Northwest Environmental Defense Center and the Ocean Conservancy, focusing on legal research for wildlife and marine conservation initiatives. She also contributed to the Public Interest Law Project at Lewis & Clark Law School and mentored at-risk youth through the Portland Opportunities Industrialization Center.
